Grade 6. Recycle. Repurpose. Reincarnate. ~Spirit of Story~ [10.30.13] Students created character masks using recyclable materials and performed original monologues in the voice of their character. |
Grade 6. Telling Tales [Week of 12.9.13!] 6th graders end their semester in theatre with a week-long festival of Story Telling & Performance! In a page-to-stage process, classes turned a cultural children's book into a stage performance for 5 different audiences! |

Grade 7. ¡HUELGA! ~the Actos of El Teatro Campesino~ [03.19.14] At Festival del Sol 2014, 7th graders explored Chicano Theatre of the 1960-70s, the scripts that highlighted issues affecting the United Farm Workers of America, and rallied the school to perform the actos in the fields! Grade 7. WHODUNNIT? ~an evening of Dinner Theatre~ [June 2 & 3.14] Students create a complete evening of interactive mystery theatre. Participants (students and guests) attended a "restaurant" and received an alias. Throughout dinner, they watched a crime unfold and took part in solving it! |
