THE MASKS WE WEAR.
In our second theatre project of Distance Learning 2020, 6th graders at HTMCV learned about theatrical masks. We began with paper prototypes- using nothing but paper and scissors we created so many faces and had so much fun. Before our Thanksgiving break, our artists were challenged with making a professional mask that represented who they are- and this time, it had to be more than just paper. We brainstormed the kinds of materials that we might use to make a mask like this. The lists included: magazines, cardboard, clay, playdough, paint, beans, leaves, hot glue, wood, newspaper, crochet/knitting yarn, found materials, recycled materials, mud, and so much more. We invite you to browse our gallery and be inspired by our gifted mask-makers! |
